Margaret

Margaret Release Date: September 30, 2011

A young woman (Oscar winner Anna Paquin) witnesses a bus accident, and is caught up in the aftermath, where the question of whether or not it was intentional affects many people’s lives.

Margaret tells the story of a 17-year-old New York City high-school student who feels certain that she inadvertently played a role in a traffic accident that has claimed a woman’s life… (sounds a little too much like a rip off of the Tony & Pulitzer Prize winning Rabbit Hole).

More importantly, Anna Paquin is nearly 30, and for her to be playing a high school student is just ridiculous.

In her attempts to set things right she meets with opposition at every step. Torn apart with frustration, she begins emotionally brutalizing her family, her friends, her teachers, and most of all, herself.

She has been confronted quite unexpectedly with a basic truth: that her youthful ideals are on a collision course against the realities and compromises of the adult world.
